Stephen Krupa is the Chief Executive Officer of HealthEdge. He also currently serves as the CEO and Managing Partner of Psilos, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm and the majority investor in HealthEdge. During his 18 years at Psilos, Steve has invested in several transformative healthcare technology companies including Active Health Management, Extend Health and Healthmine, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Board. Prior to Psilos, Steve was a vice president of Wasserstein Perella & Co. where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions advisory work in the healthcare industry. From 1987-1992, he worked as a mechanical engineer for Johnson Controls, Inc. Steve holds an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated a Palmer Scholar; and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi.
Chris Conte is an accomplished healthcare sales leader and is responsible for ensuring the successful growth of the company. Chris has over 20 years of Industry and Sales Management experience in progressive and varying leadership roles. Prior to HealthEdge, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Matrix Medical Network, where he was responsible for driving significant new business and company expansion leading to their acquisition by Providence Service Corporation. Before Matrix Medical Network, Chris was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Outcomes Health Information Solutions, where he built a “best in class” sales team that delivered a number of new customers and partners that helped to grow the business. Chris’ past experience also includes leading sales teams at organizations including The Trizetto Group, Misys Healthcare Systems and Oracle Corporation. Chris holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Radford University and began his career in Federal Law Enforcement.
Ray Desrochers is a senior technology and business executive responsible for leading the company’s Clinical Solutions business. Joining the organization just after its inception in 2005, Ray has played a key role in building and growing the company, bringing its products to market, and establishing HealthEdge’s reputation as an industry leader and innovator that provides next-generation, enterprise-class software products that uniquely address 21st-century healthcare business needs. Prior to HealthEdge, Ray served as Vice President of Development at Amicore, where he led the creation of a new suite of hosted electronic medical record and physician practice management solutions. Ray’s previous experience also includes executive-level roles at organizations including Keyware Technologies, Anchorsilk, and Webhire, a company that he helped lead through a successful IPO. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Ray has been a frequent speaker at technology events and conferences around the world.
Dannette Coleman is a senior health insurance executive responsible for advising customers on how to leverage the full breadth and value of the HealthRules solutions suite to transform their organizations. Dannette has more than 25 years of experience in the health insurance industry. She was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager for Individual Business at Medica, where she oversaw the implementation of HealthRules in addition to being responsible for the growth and development of all aspects of the business unit, including product, pricing, claims, sales, enrollment, billing and member experience. Dannette joined Medica in 1992 and had roles in Customer Service, Consumer Affairs, Quality Improvement, Government Programs and Public Policy, prior to taking on P&L responsibility. Dannette served as the board chair of the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the MinneWomen’s Economic Roundtable (MWER), and is a board member of Fraser, an organization that provides services to children and adults with special needs. She also has been appointed to serve on numerous health care task forces including the of the Minnesota Exchange Advisory Task Force and the Minnesota Health Care Financing Task Force. Dannette holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Matt Kuntz is Chief Technology Officer of HealthEdge, and possesses an in-depth knowledge of its software products. Before joining HealthEdge, Matt was Product Architect and Principal Technical Lead at deNovis. In this role, Matt was responsible for key aspects of the deNovis architecture, including web services, claims performance, event notification, financial transactions, and data versioning. He led development of the finance, enrollment, provider, care management, and claims subsystems. Prior to joining deNovis, Matt was Architect at WorldStreet Corporation where he designed and built a scalable, secure architecture for collaboration within the financial services industry. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in Physics from Amherst College.
Matt Hughes is a senior business executive with more than 20 years of corporate and financial leadership experience. Previously, Matt was the Chief Financial Officer of Click4Care, where he played an integral role in the operation of the company, culminating with the merger of Click4Care into HealthEdge. Prior to Click4Care, Matt was the Chief Financial Officer of DeCrane Aerospace, a privately-owned provider of integrated interior component parts to the private aircraft market. Matt has also held senior financial leadership roles at companies including Frontstep, a world-wide manufacturing software provider, The GolfWorks and MPW Industrial Services. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant and he earned a B.A. in accounting and business administration from Thiel College.
Sanjeev Sawai is keenly focused on building high performance teams to rapidly create software products that will transform the healthcare market. He has spent more than 20 years developing enterprise grade and SaaS-scale software products in a variety of markets, most notably telecommunications and financial services. Sanjeev has led the development of market-leading products in the voice solutions market. He has also built embedded systems for defense applications. Previously, Sanjeev has held leadership positions in software development at Altisource, Interactions, Envox and Brooktrout Software. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Paul Johnson is a senior professional services executive responsible for delivering business solutions to serve customer needs via HealthEdge’s professional services organization and other functional teams. Paul has more than 20 years of professional services experience, and brings to HealthEdge a broad background spanning operations, professional services, software development and program management. Prior to joining HealthEdge, Paul served as Vice President of Professional Services Operations at NantHealth (formerly NaviNet), where he oversaw all aspects of the professional services business. While there, he worked closely with some of the nation’s largest health insurers to implement payer-provider collaboration solutions, and led a program to migrate over 40 payers to a shared, modern, SaaS platform. Prior to joining NaviNet, Paul spent time in the clinical trial data technology space, first serving as Director of Global Professional Services at Phase Forward, and later leading architecture, development and sales as Founder and CEO of Sciclops Inc.. Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Civil Engineering from McGill University.
Harry Merkin has worked with both payers and providers through many dynamic changes in healthcare for a number of years. He is currently responsible for Marketing at HealthEdge, including product marketing, demand generation and thought leadership. Merkin previously had similar responsibilities at Evariant and NaviNet and has collaborated with many transformative entities across the healthcare landscape. Merkin has helped introduce and promote enterprise software solutions that enable payers to improve their competitive effectiveness, as well as perform valuable communications between payers and providers, and allow providers to effectively collaborate with patients and consumers as well as with each other. Merkin is the parent of two Millennials and is a long-time World Champion New England Patriots season ticket holder.
As HealthEdge’s Chief Nursing Officer, Kim Ingram is responsible for providing clinical expertise and care coordination leadership to the organization. She has spent more than 28 years building execution-focused pathways for success through technology-driven innovation in the healthcare delivery system. Kim is distinguished for her forward thinking and her ability to achieve transformational change working with key executives and stakeholders in complex organizations. Prior to joining HealthEdge, Kim served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Solutions at Click4Care, where she was responsible for product strategy and for leading several key customer implementations. Prior to Click4Care, Kim also held leadership roles at organizations including Cambia Health Solutions. Kim is a graduate of Lewis Clark State College, and a Registered Nurse.
Laura Tomaino is an accomplished human resources professional. Her mission at the company is to deliver innovative solutions to recruit, engage, develop and retain top talent. Prior to joining HealthEdge, Laura worked at Harvard University and Dartmouth College, where she served a diverse group of stakeholders with full employee life-cycle guidance and management of human resource functions. Laura is a Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She also holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Human Resources from Saint Anselm College and a Masters in Liberal Arts (ALM) from Harvard University Extension School.
